Gialiskari is found on the northern side of the island, 2 km east of Mandraki, on the way to Paloi. The colour of the sand used to be white due a pumice extracting company working in the area, so the beach was also known as “lefki akti” (white shore). Nowadays the beach has again its dark coloured sand.

The beach starts around 3 km after Paloi village and is located northeast of the island, where the asphalt road ends. The length of this beach exceeds 1.5 km. There are some pebbly spots but the beach is mainly covered by dark sand.
Paloi is the village’s largest beach, with sand, pebbles and trees, separated into other smaller beach coves Katsouni, Lyes and Pachia Ammo (thick sand). It is a beautiful extended sandy beach with lots of trees. The sand in and out of the sea is very thin while on the shore there are large pebbles that help maintain the waters shallow. Paloi beach is evolving into a tourist resort but still maintains its untroubled calm atmosphere.
Pachia Ammos (thick sand) is located in the east side of the island which is 10 km from Mandraki. The beach is around 350m wide. The beach has coarse dark sand. Access to the beach is through an awkward path over the hill tops that hide the beach. This will take around 10min walk.
